Walk through Moinhos, lunch at Soho, dessert at Barbarela, discussions about my new site, opinions about Gauleses (near Garopaba), Desert Combat at Monkey, evening show on Avenida Goethe, some vodka and lots of pictures.
CafePress is looking good these days. They've expanded their services to include cd's (audio and data) and publishing. The cd side reminds me of mp3.com, but at CafePress you get many more interesting options and the regular array of merchandise to help promote the music. And if you're a writer, their publishing service gives you cool options for book sizes and binding. Just send them the pdf.
General Clark is selling t-shirts at cafepress, by the way. I'm starting to think this guy's the only real chance the Democrats have at returning to the White House...
Getting started with Nahuel's new project: a little samba called Lagrimas de Fevereiro. I'd been hoping to work on this song for some time now.
My home is looking better than ever, with the new wall finished and the gear set up in the ex-living room. To commemorate, I formatted my system hd and reinstalled all my apps. In my case, that takes a couple of days... I didn't even really reinstall my os, since I use Powerquest's Drive Image.
The main wall in my living room is getting painted... Carlos, who had done the image on the wall of my Hilario Ribeiro studio, is back, this time with a giant area to work with. Also, I'll probably paint my hallway tomorrow.
Yesterday a good friend turned me on to a cool site, Trama Virtual. It has very complete band listings plus contact info for studios all over Brazil. I'm listening to some interesting new music right now...
New mix of Backyard is up at Viralata. Very sneaky of me, I know, but the last mix had been done under tight time constraints... This one should do quite nicely.
On a more personal note... the Di Pinto Family doc is moving along wonderfully. I'm excited. Hopefully I'll be able release bits and pieces here on my site, kinda like Chuck Olsen's been doing with his super-cool doc on blogs.
Things have been slow around here, I know, but it's change-time. My apartment is getting a makeover, and this site should look different in a few days as well...
